The City of Glendora Celebrates Small Business Saturday

Small Business Saturday is November 30th, 2013, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, between Black Friday and Cyber Monday.  In its fourth year, Small Business Saturday is a nationally recognized movement created by American Express to encourage people to “shop small.”

This year the City of Glendora is bringing attention to Small Business Saturday with the hope that the community will come together to support the many wonderful goods and services offered by the small businesses located in Glendora.  Dollars spent locally generate sales tax that support the municipal services that residents have come to expect; services such as our parks, library and police.

Glendora is encouraging its residents to spread a portion of their holiday spending (and year round shopping as well) locally.  On this Small Business Saturday, the City will have prize drawings and

  • Every $25.00 in receipts from small businesses will earn an entry for prize drawings
  • Free Gift Wrap for items purchased at participating small businesses
  • Special offers from participating businesses, to view participating businesses and offers, visit: CityofGlendora.org/SmallBusinessSaturday

For more information or if you are a small business located in Glendora and would like to participate, please contact Economic Development Specialist, Valerie Escalante at (626) 914-8292.
